"Or Enter a Total Costs:" is an alternative to selecting from the drop down list in the Service, Treatment or surgery selection in the General Plan Information sheet. Instead of making a selection from the drop down list, you can enter an estimated total dollar cost for your hospitalization. The calculator estimates discounted costs for participating hospitals. Be sure to enter the assumed retail costs, not the discounted amounts. You can also also provide a description in the box provided (of a service, etc) for the Total Cost.
