Individual or Family Coverage

You select Individual or Family Coverage in the Coverage Information section of the General Plan Information Sheet. Select Individual Coverage if your health plan covers just you. Select Family Coverage if your health plan coverage additional members of your family in any combination (for example, select family even if your plan only covers you and your children but not your spouse; or select family even if your plan coverage is just for you and your spouse but no children.)

You might wonder why this question is necessary, when you run a Out of Pocket Estimate scenario only one person a time. The reason is the General Deductible, Hospital Deductible and Maximum Out of Pocket amounts are typically different for a given plan depending upon if you have Individual vs. Family coverage.
